The crying dog - 2021, stereo

“Le chien qui pleure” (the crying dog) is the first collaboration between Mélia Roger and Antoine Chessex. The piece proposes an ominous montage of different human and nonhuman voices creating a detailed sonic situation where the biosphere merged with the technosphere resulting in an uncanny, and possibly fatal encounter.

It was commissioned by the Listening Biennale 2021, curated by Brandon Labelle
